  Every single pay machine is marked 'cash only', asking that you search for an alternative machine to pay by card. After walking the whole first floor from machine to machine, they asked that I come to the office to pay. There was a huge line, and so the ticket added an additional payment for being over time. Its a crowded and very expensive (£4.50 for one hour, £8 for 2) car park (compared to the Oracle or Kings Meadow), and inexcusable to have NO functioning pay points, no directions to alternative machines, and one cashier.

  This car park is unjustifiably expensive... If you commute to London the basic standard class fare is approx £500 per month. This car park will set you back nearly another £400-500 per month. Tilehurst Car Park, one stop down the line and a three minute train journey, costs less than £100.
  
  I commute to London daily and earn a six figure salary but couldn't and wouldn't justify these prices. So who can afford to park there and how can they? It is always packed. I very rarely jump on the 'outraged of Reading' soap box, but this really is an outrageous fee - this is a commuter car park.
